I am Simona Rhea Lobo, a passionate mass communication graduate currently pursuing my Master of Communication at the University of South Australia. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Nitte Institute of Communication, where I graduated with First Class with Distinction.
Throughout my studies, I have gained practical experience through various internships that have shaped my skills and interests. As a Public Relations Intern at Pitchfork Partners, I was responsible for tracking news, drafting articles, and creating presentations for clients. This role allowed me to develop my communication skills and learn the intricacies of digital marketing.
During my time as an HR & PR Trainee at BASF India LTD, I participated in community outreach programs and conducted employee benefits analysis. I also organized a vaccination drive, which underscored the importance of health and safety in the workplace
In addition to my PR experience, I worked as a Social Media Manager at Nitte Institute of Communication, where I designed posters for social media platforms and conducted photoshoots for various events. This role enhanced my creativity and ability to engage with diverse audiences.
I also had the opportunity to intern with UNISA CREATIVE, where I contributed to event management by developing floor plans and branding strategies. Currently, I serve as a Shift Supervisor at KFC, where I manage operations, oversee cash counter services, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Beyond my professional experiences, I have a keen interest in both indoor and outdoor sports and am actively involved in various academic and extracurricular clubs. Traveling is one of my passions; I love exploring new places and cultures. Dance is my favorite hobby and serves as a wonderful stress reliever.
I've completed a 6-month diploma in computer applications and an online course in Administrative Human Resources for Beginners to further enhance my skill set. I am proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, possess strong analytical thinking skills and have expertise in social media management.
I am eager to continue learning and growing in the field of communication while contributing positively to any organization I am part of.
